MaxConnect Medical, Inc. stems from our shared vision of clearing the barriers to entry and distribution for healthcare innovators.  Steve Wu, a 30-year veteran in the medtech industry, personally struggled with and overcame such hurdles throughout his career and has witnessed the changing landscape as he continues his journey in medical innovation.  It has since become his passion to expand the industry so more medtech advances can be made available to more people.  Years ago, as a young entrepreneur, he pledged to give back one day and nurture burgeoning innovators with a two-fold goal: so they could reach success as smoothly as possible and so healthcare offerings could be maximized globally.  This vow has crystallized in the form of MaxConnect Medical, a diverse group of professionals converging into a one-stop-shop team to ensure a smooth transition for medical technology innovation – from product conceptualization to distribution.

Calvin Wey

As seasoned and serial tech entrepreneur, the natural transition for Calvin was to enter the world of medtech.  Having lost loved ones unexpectedly due to preventable medical emergencies, Calvin experienced first hand how innovations in healthcare could have saved them.  He brings to the team his technical know-how and business savvy and hopes MaxConnect Medical can help avoid the loss of more lives.

Joe Tai, Ph.D. J.D.

As a go-to leader in the world of biotech patents, Joe has witnessed the demise of promising innovations because of legal setbacks along the way.  He seeks to maximize the number of products that actually are realized by creating a solid IP strategy and minimizing the IP and legal hurdles innovators might encounter on their voyage to success.

Sam Huang

Having navigated the medtech regulatory universe, Sam has seen both the bright lanes and dark alleys on the pathway to product approval.  His expertise will guide innovators to consider relevant regulatory issues strategically so their innovations approach the regulatory pathway as efficiently and comprehensively as possible.

Victoria Chen

Being immersed in the world of product launches, Victoria knows that commercialization strategy starts at product conceptualization.  She has observed neglect of basic market considerations in the product design stage which led to inefficiencies later down the line and aims to help innovators circumvent avoidable pitfalls at all stages of the design process.
